The collection of long and important letters are mainly addressed to the journalist and impresario Fano and Mr. Smith, relating theater performances in Italy, France and Spain. We report two extracts as example: I. „[…] I have been in Milan in the hands of Giordano and Leoncavallo – I am studying and intend to sing Fedora and the Bohème of Leoncavallo and I have been studying the parts with the composers – Fedora will be another Traviata for me […]“. II. „[…] A lei farà piacere di sapere che dopo questo mese non ho più per rappresentante il signor [Maurício] Shakosch per le ragione che ora lui a[sic.] una figlia nell’arte e sono convinta che non si può servire due padrone – quando una di queste padrone è la propria figlia […]“ Considered one of the finest coloratura sopranos of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, her most famous roles were Amina in La sonnambula, and the title roles in Lakmé, Mignon, Mireille, and Lucia di Lammermoor..
