Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau. - A member of the artists' association "Scholle" since 1899, Münzer created landscape paintings and nudes as well as illustrations for the satirical magazines "Jugend" and "Simplicissimus" and was an active war painter in 1915. - Some faint creases near corners; a few small ink spots. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
