An den deutschen Astronomen und (ehemaligen) Leiter der Sternwarte im australischen Parramatta, Carl Rümker: "Professor Airy presents his compliments to Mr. Rumker, and begs to inform him that he lately saw M. Carlini of Milan [d. i. der italienische Astronom und Geodät Francesco Carlini], who is at present employed in improving the lunar tables, both by extending the theoretical investigations, and by comparing the tables with his own observations. Professor Airy was charged by M. Carlini, in case he should have an opportunity of communicating with Mr.
