To Robert Hume Middlemass, Esq., of Westbarns, with a positive reply concerning lessons in astronomy: "I shall be very happy to give your friend's son instruction in Astronomy. At present I have only the Saturday in each week disengaged. On which day I could give one lesson of one and a half hour's duration. If agreeable to you. I would call upon you on Saturday next at any hour you may appoint [...]". - Charles Henry Adams was publishing on weather phenomena and such of the night sky in "the Literary Gazette", a meteorological journal kept in Edmonton. - Added is a small collector's note.
