Weber, Friedrich Dionys (Bedrich Diviš)

"Klage eines Maedchens auf dem Grabe ihrer Freundinn". Eigenh. Musikmanuskript mit U.
Autograph ist nicht mehr verfügbar

Setting of Ludwig Hölty's "Lied eines Mädchens auf den Tod ihrer Gespielin" ("Vier trübe Monden sind entflohn") for voice and cembalo. - Weber is primarily remembered as the first Director of the Prague Conservatory, in whose foundation he played a leading role. "His own music never progressed beyond the 18th-century style that one can call 'imitation Mozart'. Most of his works may be regarded as lightweight, [and his] reactionary attitude has caused his subsequent eclipse" (New Grove XX, 265). - Very rare; nor sale record within the past 40 years.
