Probably to an administrator at the Comédie-Française, asking for box seats: "Vous seriez bien aimable de me donner pour ce soir une petite baignoire [...]". - Prud'hon had his debut at the Comédie-Française in 1865 and became sociétaire in 1883. His principal roles were lovers in comedies but also the "jeune premier" in some tragedies. Prud'hon retired from the stage in 1901 and served in administrative positions since. From 1906 to 1913, he was general secretary of the Comédie-Française. - Minimally toned and fingerstained.
