To the actor François-Joseph Talma (1763-1826), asking him for two tickets for a play "pour Madame Norvins et pour moi. J'ai appris que vous partiez Samedi. Le temps et trop court pour que je fasse avec mes amies quelque arrangement pour une loge". - Norvins fled revolutionary France, settled in Coblenz and served in the Armée des Émigrés. In 1797 he returned to France and became a fervent supporter of Napoleon. - François-Joseph Talma was an intimate friend of Napoleon Bonaparte, who delighted in his society, and even, on his return from Elba, forgave him for performing before Louis XVIII.
