Covering letter with thanks for sending some earlier issues of the "Bouquet": "The packet containing the back numbers of the Bouquet reached me a few days since, and I beg to return my best thanks for them. With this I have taken the liberty of forwarding my last little publication, a copy for each of the young ladies, projectors of the Miscellany, and should they think the book worth their acceptance I shall feel much gratified [...]". The "Bouquet" was a literary magazine run by aristocratic women based on the far side of Regent's Park.

Only subscribers were allowed to contribute, and each had to choose the name of a flower to sign her work: Jean Middlemass was "Mignonette", Lady Hester Browne "Bluebell", and the Knatchbull sisters "Kingcups". The young Christina Rossetti contributed Italian verses under the name of "Calta". - Substantial duststaining..
