To a fellow writer, informing him that he will receive copies of his recent novel "La Course au bonheur" and asking him to read the book: "Vous recevrez prochainement si vous ne les avez reçus déjà, des exemplaires de mon dérnier roman du figaro, La Course au bonheur. Voudrez vous être assez - je ne dirai pas seulement aimable, mais surtout complaisant pour le parcourir? Il n'est pas long. Ce sera vite fait. Et je vous en serait reconnaissant". - As Mary states, "La Course au bonheur" appeared in "Le Figaro" between 3 and 26 June. The letter probably relates to its publication in book form later that year. - Minimal browning.
