Charles Marcellis (1798–1864), Schriftsteller und Ingenieur. E. Albumblatt mit U. („Ch. Marcellis“). Liège, 7. August 1832. 1 S. Qu.-gr.-8°. – In französischer Sprache und alt auf Trägerpapier montiert (dieses mit kleinen Randläsuren). – Der aus Antwerpen stammende Advokat, Schriftsteller und Journalist studierte nebenher Architektur und Ingenieurswissenschaften und „devoted his legal and literary talents to the industrial conditions of Belgium. In 1846 the iron bridge over the river Escaut at Ghent was constructed from his plans, a notable engineering feat at that time as it marked the substitution of iron for wood or stone.
