J. 1½ SS. auf Doppelblatt. 8°. – Wohl an Frederick Temple Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, 1st Marquess of Dufferin and Ava (1826–1902): „It would be a great pleasure for my Wife and myself if you and Lady Dufferin could before going to the ball at Orleans house come to dine with us here on Thursday the 25 of May [...]“. – Louis Philippe d’Orléans, der älteste Sohn von Ferdinand Philippe d’Orleans und Enkel des letzten französischen Königs Louis-Philippe, war Prätendent auf den französischen Thron und galt für die Anhänger des Hauses Orléans-Bourbon als rechtmäßiger Nachfolger König Louis-Philippes.

He his [!] now on leave in England and has promised to come to dine with me here on Tuesday next the 21st. I thought it would give you some interest to meet him, therefore I hasten to write you this note, to ask you if you would like to come and dine with us that evening [...]“.
