Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau. - After studying in Frankfurt and Karlsruhe, Junker worked in Berlin from 1908, where he specialized in portraits and genre pieces, his paintings of horses achieving great popularity among racing enthusiasts. - Traces of postmarks and of 3 angular folds. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
