7 bars of Marpha's arioso "Ô nature, toi si douce" from the 3rd act of Joncières' most successful opera "Dimitri". - Based on Schiller's unfinished play "Demetrius", Joncières' opera had premiered on 5 May 1876 at the Gaîté-Lyrique in Paris. In 1890, the Opéra-Comique revived "Dimitri". - Dated according to a collector's note in pencil. With a small newspaper clipping concerning Joncières' final opera "Lancelot" pasted on the recto (ca. 66 x 19 mm) and a larger clipping of an obituary pasted on the verso. Left margin reinforced. Some browning.
