Unpublished letter to the jurist Gérard de Courselle (Corselius), regarding a controversy at the Leuven "Collegium Baianum": "[...] Collegium Baianum mihi caro erit quam maxime. Sed vereor ut E. D. Mercerus non permittat. Nam quamvis Facultates S. Theol. et V. Juris perspicuum ius sibi competere putent ac dicant, perstat tamen immobilis. Egi cum ipso diu hesterna die, ut saltem rem istam, arbitris committi sineret Lovanii, Bruxellae, Mechliniae; nec scio an aliquid profecerim. Consilium enim ab advocato se petiturum afferebat [...] Agam quicquid potuero, ut Collegio bene provideatur [...]".

- This letter was hitherto not traceable, but was mentioned in a letter that Jansen wrote to Corselius on the same day (cf. Orcibal no. 205). Extremely rare. - Upper and lower edges untrimmed; browned and spotty at the right edge, otherwise in good condition..
