Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau: "Ihre Karte wurde mir nach München nachgesandt, von wo aus ich Ihren Gruß dankend erwidere: Artibus in serviendo [...]". - Teaching ecclesiastical monumental art at the Düsseldorf Academy since 1909, Huber was a representative of Historicism influenced by Symbolism, Art Nouveau and Expressionism, and was as a member of the Düsseldorf artists' association "Malkasten". - Traces of a postmark and small ink spots. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
