To the painter Paul Cézanne, his friend, with the news that Guérard had returned from Italy, and that they would surely see each other soon if Cezanne was currently discovering some unexplored spot: "Mon cher Cezanne. Je suis revenu d'Italie & si vous n'etes pas en train d'explorer un coin ignoré. Je pense que je vous verrai bientôt. Cordialement à vous [...]". - Guérard moved to a farmstead near Honfleur in the late 1970s after marrying Eva Gonzalès, where he hosted famous painters such as Cézanne and his close friend Norbert Goeneuttes. - With collector's note in pencil and ink.
