An den Buchhändler Charles Frederic Molini in London, dem er ein Exemplar eines seiner Werke, wohl der "Illustrations of Indian Zoology", übersendet: "I have given to the attendant the last of Plates to vol. I. There is no other Index. I am sorry that you should have waited so long for it but I have been obliged to render a Copy imperfect to let you have this as I find that I have no others [...]". - Das mehr als 200 Kupfertafeln umfassende Werk "Illustrations of Indian Zoology, chiefly selected from the Collection of Major-General Hardwicke, F.R.S." erschien zwischen 1830 und 1834 in zwei Bänden.
