Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau: "Mit höflichem Gruß [...]". - Active as a court theatre set painter in Munich from 1895 to 1908, Frahm specialized in creating stage designs and landscape paintings, and occasionally served as artistic advisor to Duke Friedrich von Anhalt. - A few small ink spots near upper margin. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
