Jusqu'à présent ce volume ne m'est point parvenu. Ce me sera un véritable plaisir de pouvoir dire longuement et une fois de plus toute la vive admiration dont je vous prie de trouver ici tous les sentiments [...]" (25 May 1907). Ayez l'obliggeance, si cela n'a pas été fait, d'envoyer le volume [...]". - To an antiquarian bookseller ordering several catalogues, including one for which he has searched for two years: "Sauvez moi la vie en me donnant le no. 151 - Hotel Parisien de votre catalogue. Voici deux ans que je cherche cette brochure. Donnez-la moi! La postérité de mes lecteurs bénira votre nom! Et, maintenant, si vous pouviez y ajouter les nos 87 - Autographes, 89 - Babeuf, 125 - Corday, 177 - Napoleon abstraction, 220 - Blocqueville [...]".
