To Marquis Marc de Favrat in Cannes with good wishes for the recovery of Princess Elisabeth of Romania, former Queen of Greece, having read about her hospitalisation in the newspaper: "Par le journal j'apprends que la Santé de Sa Majesté la Reine Elisabeth n'est pas très brillante et qu'Elle a dû être hospitalisée. Je vous demande de vouloir bien être mon interprète auprès de Sa Majesté [...]". - Elisabeth of Romania (1894-1956) settled in Cannes some years after her expulsion from Romania in 1947 when the Romanian People's Republic was proclaimed.
