Each letter to the members of the "conseil d'administration de la Société pour l'instruction élémentaire" (SIE, Society for Elementary Instruction). - The letter of 19. II., on the establishment of further schools in the department Deux-Sèvres and a compensation payment for a teacher Maynard in Melle: "La méthode d'enseignement mutuel commence à se répandre dans le département de ce deux Sèvres. Quatre école sont depuis longtems en acitvité, une cinquième vient de s'ouvrir; Mr. le préfet prend des mesures pour que ce nombre soit promptement augmenté [...]".
- The letter of 25. II., a school in Villefranche would finally be opened under the direction of a M. Lafon, by initiative of the prefect of Aveyron: "Je m'empresse de vous informer que les obstacles qui s'étaient d'abord opposés à l'établissement de l'École d'Enseignement mutuel de Villefranche [...]". - In the letter of 28.
