In Datura stramonium with which we have worked most, we have a rule never to plant the seeds until a couple of weeks after harvesting them. Better germination is secured after a month or two months and for the best germination we have usually planted the seeds perhaps three months after harvesting, although for most purposes so long a wait has not been necessary [...]“.
