Letter to Chief Inspector of the Engineering Corps, giving him news from the camp: „Trois jours avant le départ de S. M. j’ai rendu au M.al Soult le plan […] de Wissant avec son projet de port […]. M. le M.al l’a présenté à S. M. mais le projet semble plus ajourné. Il n’en a pas été question. Je n’en avais pas de copie […] Les travaux de forts vont bien. […] Les limites des voutes des magasins à poudre sont( ?) posés et les voutes commencées. […]“. – In 1804, Napoleon planned to invade England and awarded the Legion of Honor for the first time to members of the Army of England on August 16, two weeks before this letter.
