Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau. - Studying at the Munich Academy from 1900, Wolff joined the "Verein für Original-Radierung" and co-founded the first graphic private school in 1901. The main themes of his work included portraits, nudes, landscapes and city views, as well as silhouettes, some of which he published in the 1910 volume "Erzählungen einer kleinen Schere". - Traces of postmarks; faint traces of a fold near lower right corner. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
