Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau. - Studying in Amsterdam, Munich and Paris, Schwartze advanced to a popular portraitist, painted the Dutch royal family in 1881, and exhibited her work at the 1904 "Internationale Kunstausstellung" in Düsseldorf. - A few small ink spots.
