A letter to the pianist and composer Alphonse Duvernoy (1842-1907) can be dated to 1880/81, as it concerns a performance of Duvernoy's symphonic poem "La Tempête". Pasdeloup tells Duvernoy that Jean-Baptiste Faure agrees with him that not only a "fragment of the Tempête" should be performed but the entire piece. "La Tempête" was first performed by Faure and Pasdeloup's competitor Éduard Colonne in 1880. - The second letter is to invite an unidentified recipient to a party: "nous comptons sur vous pour lundi prochain au cercle, cette fois vous serez de la fête n'est ce pas".

In a short postscript, Pasdeloup mentions that the pianist Alexis-Henri Fissot will perform. - The letter to Duvernoy on stationery with printed address. The second letter on mourning paper. Both with traces of old restorations..
