The collection comprises 3 autograph letters signed by C. G. Mannerheim, 13 autograph letters signed by his brother Johan (1868-1934), 41 autograph letters signed by his sister Eva (1870-1958), and 103 autograph letters signed by his sister Sophie (1863-1928), all written to members of the family and encompassing a period of nearly four decades. - Mannerheim's manuscripts: I) Autograph manuscript draft, entitled "Mina Herrer!". N. p., [1919]. 4½ pp. on 5 ff. 4to. Draft for his resignation as Temporary Regent of Finland (Valtionhoitaja; Riksföreståndare). - II: Typed manuscript with 3 autogr. lines. [Stockholm, 1936]. 1 p. Folio. Draft for a speech as representative of Finland on the occasion of the funeral of King George. - III: Typed letter (carbon copy) signed, and with autogr. complimentary close. N. p., "99. [!] juli 1941". 1 p. Large 4to. Written to Erik van Rosen, Goering's brother-in-law, interceding on behalf of an imprisioned Polish Count. - IV: Autograph portrait postcard signed. Bad Wildungen, 7 June 1936. 1 p. - V: Original photograph, showing Mannerheim in half length pose holding a pipe. As noted on the reverse, the picture was taken by the economist Karin Ramsay, wife of the Finnish politician and an economist Carl Henrik Wolter Ramsay (1886-1951). - VI: Portrait photograph, signed and inscribed.
