Sketch for plate number 2 of the lithograph series "Entre-Deux", created in 1957 and published in 1964, comprising 17 plates in total. The French autograph description on the reverse explains that the image expresses "a construction, a coherence, a cohesion, a distribution of lines to all spaces, a concentration of lines in a reassuring geometry", stressing that "between two things, two lives, two poles, two times, two beings, life proceeds, seasons elapse. Things are born or reborn. - Short marginal tears.
