Die Bildseite zeigt das Gasthaus "Zillergrund" bei Mayrhofen. - Jungwirth studierte an der Akademie der bildenden Künste in Wien bei Siegmund L'Allemand, August Eisenmenger und Pochwalski. Eine Studienreise führte ihn 1900 nach Italien und im folgenden Jahr als Begleiter von Erzherzog Franz Ferdinand nach Dalmatien. 1910 wurde er Professor an der Akademie der bildenden Künste in Wien wurde.

[...]". - A portraitist as well as a painter of historical and genre themes, Jungwirth was frequently commissioned by Archduke Franz Ferdinand, whom he frequently accompanied on his travels. He found inspiration on his study trips to Italy, Germany and Holland, and taught at the Vienna Academy. - A few small ink spots. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
