An den Maler, Kunstautor und Sekretär der Society of Graphic Arts Frank L. Emmanuel (1865–1948): „Your communication dated March has been forwarded to me here, where, surprising as it may perhaps seem to you, I am still on duty as a temporary officer of the R.A.H. – sending forage to various ports of the Orient. I hope to be in England early in June + in any case shall be happy to become an original member of ‚The Society of Graphic Art’ which you are helping to found. Anything to encourage engraving on metal or wood – an art which appears to be dying is very much to be encouraged.
