Interessanter Brief technischen Inhalts an Admiral Mouchez, Dirketor des Observatoriums in Paris über ein Turmprojekt „[…] pour en faire voir le degré d'impossibilité il suffirait d'augmenter le coefficient et de supposer que l'on pourrait faire une tour de 3000 mètres en prenant un coefficient de 50 au lieu de 5. Il y a un grand nombre d'éléments qui viennent prendre une part prépondérante dans une grande construction tandis que cette part était insignifiante dans une petite: les câbles, par exemple, qui peuvent être tendus assez facilement sous une longueur de 60m et sous un angle faible, et qui pour une longueur de 300m prennent des flèches énormes et donnent par l'effet de leur propre poids des tensions initiales considérables […]“ Es sei notwendig, an die Wirkung des Windes auf diese Kabel und an die Stabilität zu denken.
Das Design von Admiral Serre sei „aussi peu pratique que possible“. Von der Konkurrenz hält er wenig: „surtout en présence de la faible économie qui résulterait de ce projet. Vous verrez que pour lui, c'est tout simplement un changement d'échelle du dessin ; c'est aussi peu rationnel que si pour faire un cuirassé, on multipliait par dix ou vingt le type d'une chaloupe à vapeur“..

Accusations of plagiarized aircraft designs, addressed to Ernest Lemonon (1878-1956), lawyer at the Court of Appeal in Paris. Eiffel states confidently, "L'avion Junker-Fokker est en effet un plagiat de notre avion L.E. et on m'a dit que cela avait été construit d'après un bleu. qui avait été communiqué." He goes on to direct Lémonon to the relevant pages of his recent book, "Résumé des Principaux Travaux exécuté pendant la guerre au Laboratorie aerodynamique G. Eiffel", which Eiffel feels will prove that his designs were indeed published first, and then copied by his German competitors.
- While it is unclear that Eiffel's complaint had any effect, Anthony Fokker of Junker-Fokker did have something of a reputation for acquiring designs through dishonourable tactics, though from his reluctant business partner, Hugo Junkers, rather than Gustave Eiffel. - Gently creased along folds and at corners. Glued to the reverse is the first of three typewritten letters, the other two of which are also pasted together at the top left corner. The additional typed letters are on much thinner paper, which has browned and lightly chipped along the edges..

Rare booklet for the conference on 20 February 1889, beautifully inscribed to a Belgian woman named Marguerite Cruyt, dated Paris, 4 April 1889. The partly lithographed letter from the secretariat of Gustave Eiffel was written in response to a request for Eiffel's signature by Marguerite Cruyt from 26 March 1889. - Stronger browning and several minor tears to the cover with Eiffel's signature.
