Correspondence with the librettist Louis Gallet, concerning the collaboration in an unspecified project, apparently with Choudens's son Antony as the composer. On 7 February 1878, Choudens asks Gallet to meet him in order to discuss a project in connection with Gallet's libretto "La Jeunesse de Don Juan" that was put to music by Antony Choudens: "Puisque vous voulez bien faire deux actes pour Antony en échange de la Jeunesse de Don Juan, j'ai un sujet prêt à vous remettre qui sera j'espère aussi favorable au poête, qu'au musicien." - On 27 February, Choudens reminds Gallet that they need to find "a solution for the two acts" mentioned in the previous letter.

Finally, on 15 September 1878, Choudens asks Gallet "to think about the Lac des Ondines" while he is on the beach and to "think about Antony" who is waiting "with great impatience". - Antony Choudens (1849-1902) was an occasional composer of very limited success and took over his father's publishing house in 1888. Choudens Père & Fils had published Georges Bizet's Djamileh with a libretto by Louis Gallet in 1872. - On stationery with letterhead of Choudens Père & Fils. - Some browning and minor tears..
