Lewinsky und Unterschrift auf der Bildseite. - Henry Irving war der wichtigste Theatermacher und Shakespeare-Darsteller der viktorianischen Zeit. Sein Bühnendebüt gab er am Lyceum Theatre in Sunderland. Nach Spielzeiten in London, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Dublin und Manchester ließ er sich 1866 in London nieder.

With a French translation in a collector's hand in pencil. Slightly dust-stained.
