Scivier, the Card of whose case I enclose? I wish we had continued to meet at the Antiquaries Club [...]". - Ellis was principal Librarian of the British Museum from 1827 to 1856, and shared the secretary position at the Society of Antiquaries for five years with John Yonge Akerman. Ellis was a founding member of the Royal Numismatic Society, which was established on 22 December 1836. - With collector's note to backing paper and some light brownstaining.
